TEH Kim Seng
Chairman & CEO

Mr. Teh's background spans the legal, corporate advisory, M&A and corporate finance, venture capital and technology industries in Asia. Trained in London, then in Hong Kong, he has undertaken major engagements in M&A and corporate finance including deals such as the listing of companies in Hong Kong and London and cross-border M&A. He has extensive experience in advising, managing and operating technology start-ups/growth companies in Asia having previously invested in, advised and taken interim positions in many such companies.

Prior to founding Netrove, he was a partner, director and COO at Clarion Capital, a regional investment firm. Before that he was a senior associate and a member of the Corporate & Finance Group at Simmons & Simmons for a number of years where he specialised in corporate finance, securities and commercial deals including international public securities offerings, cross-border mergers and acquisitions (including takeovers), securities and regulatory advisory work, corporate reorganisations and restructuring.

Currently, he sits on various public boards of directors/advisors including that of Softlead Inc and Dragon Group International Limited, a semiconductor group listed on the main board of Singapore Stock Exchange.

Mr. Teh holds an LL.B. (Hons) from Leeds University, England and an LL.M. (Hons) from Queens' College, University of Cambridge, England.

At Netrove, Mr Teh is responsible for all strategic and business developments of the group and all its investments.

Thanongsak HUTANUWAT
Partner, Head of Thailand

Mr. Hutanuwat’s career of more than 25 years has spanned across various industries including logistics, agriculture, SME development, tourism and renewable energy in the SEA region. He has extensive experience in corporate advisory and turn-around and strategic business management.

Mr. Hutanuwat has previously held advisory positions for several Thailand ministries including the Ministry of Tourism & Sports, Agriculture, Science and Technology, Defense and Office of SMEs Promotion. He was also appointed the Chairman for the National SMEs Development Advisory Committee and of Board of Management of Thai Airports Grounds Services Co. Ltd. Currently, Mr. Thanongsak is the President of the Thailand Dragon Group, CEO of National Power Media and Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the public listed Solartron Public Company Limited.

Mr. Hutanuwat holds a Bachelor Degree on Business Administration, a major in Marketing from the University of San Diego, USA and is also a lecturer at the Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Thailand and the Pepperdine University, USA.

Tony XU
Partner, Head of China

Mr. Xu is a successful serial entrepreneur in China. Formerly, a co-founder of IGM Limited, he has over ten years of operational, product design & management, and marketing experience in the IT and telecom industry in China. Mr. Xu has in-depth understanding of the characteristics and dynamics of the Chinese IT and telecom sectors in terms of product strategy, development and marketing. Prior to IGM, he was a Business Development Manager at Guangzhou Tian Xia Technology Ltd. a company that was eventually acquired by a NASDAQ listed company. Over the six years in Tianxia and IGM, Mr. Xu has accumulated significant business operations experience in the data-communication VAS and IT industry and developed working relationships with several leading mobile telecommunications companies in China.

Mr. Xu has extensive knowledge of the government regulations and requirements of the telecommunications and IT industry and has strong working relationships with various Chinese governmental departments.

Mr. Xu graduated from Hunan Polytechnic University of China, majoring in Computer Applications Technology.

FOO Yong Kwang
Partner

Mr. Foo was the Managing Partner of OTP Consulting, an Internet, IT and telecommunications consulting company. He has more than 20 years of technical experience inclusive of 12 years of consulting. His prior postings were with well-known and leading edge technology companies such as NCR, AT&T and Bell Lab. Mr. Foo has international Internet and telecommunications exposure having spent stints in the USA, New Zealand, Australia, Korea as well as Malaysia.

Mr. Foo was a member of the AT&T/NCR Corporate Field Advisory Council and was a Practice Leader in various major consulting engagements worldwide and has been involved in developing and validating worldwide network and system planning, integration and management consultancy methodologies.

Mr. Foo graduated from Auckland University, New Zealand with an Electrical and Electronics Engineering degree. He further obtained an MIS degree from the same university. He is a member of IEEE, W3M Consortium and ATM Forum in the United States.

CHAI Yee Choong
Senior Associate

Mr. Chai has a wide array of work experience ranging from technology to property development enterprises and has been exposed to different types of financial instruments and industries gained through his 15 years of working across industries in Malaysia.

His past experiences include the restructuring of troubled projects and corporate financing of debts. Prior to joining Netrove, he was the CFO at a telecommunications start-up company of which he is a co-founder.

Mr. Chai is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Oklahoma State University, the USA.

LEE Yin Ling
Associate

Ms. Lee started her career in a local accounting firm which handled a variety of accounting, audit and taxation services for its clients. She later joined Deloitte specializing in taxation services. Prior to joining Netrove, Ms. Lee was a Senior Associate Consultant with PWC Taxation Services and during her tenure in PWC, she completed various tax compliance work/projects as well as corporate restructuring for Multinational Corporations and MSC status companies.

Ms. Lee brings to Netrove her diversified range of skill sets including project management skills as well as her know-how in corporate finance. She has also attained her ACCA qualification in 2001.

LYE Sijuan
Associate

Prior to joining Netrove, he was a Consultant at MnEBay International, a Hong Kong based e-Commerce firm incubated by Netrove. Throughout his service in MnEBay International, he has successfully led & implemented many IT projects for various Multinational Corporations & public listed companies. Mr. Lye started his career as a Software Programmer in a Malaysian IT firm and was assigned to deploy several turnkey projects with the Malaysian government body.

With more than 3 years of experience in the implementation of various IT projects as well as strategic formation of various IT roadmaps and policies for young ICT companies, Mr. Lye brings to Netrove his skills in project management as well as his passion & know-how in the ICT industry. He also attained Microsoft Certified Professional status in 2003.

Jack CHIN
Associate

Mr. Chin graduated with a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne. He started his career as an Enterprise Risk Consultant with Deloitte based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. During his tenure at Deloitte, Mr Chin has acquired highly sought after skill sets in business analysis, operational analysis and operational troubleshooting. While at Deloitte, Mr. Chin has led several projects for key clients in the government, manufacturing and technology sectors. Mr Chin contributes increasingly relevant enterprise risk management experience in addition to core analytical skills to Netrove.

Robin HII
Associate, Vietnam

Mr. Hii has nine years of experience managing the finances of large conglomerates with operations in the Asia-Pacific region including the Rimbunan Hijau Group where he was involved in the listing of one of its subsidiaries on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange. Subsequently, he joined the Genting Group's Star Cruises (HK) Ltd as an accountant, where he was posted to various countries in the Asia-Pacific region, mainly to oversee the gaming operational control and financial reporting eventually seconded to Vietnam and worked as Finance Manager for Lao Cai International Hotel, one of the few licensed table gaming and entertainment centres in Vietnam. He then joined IGM Limited, a London Stock Exchange listed company, as Group Finance Manager being based in Guangzhou, China.

Mr. Hii graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce with double major in Accounting and Finance from University of Auckland, New Zealand. He is a Chartered Accountant, registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) as well as a Certified Practicing Accountant, registered with CPA Australia.

SOO Siow Ling
Associate, Vietnam

Ms Soo started her career in TimeCel Malaysia as Consultant focusing on Mobile Value Added Services (VAS). Throughout her service in TimeCel, she was awarded the Top Performer Award in recognition of her tremendous contribution to the company. She later joined DiGi Telecommunications as Content Manager focusing on Mobile VAS. While in DiGi, Ms Soo successfully implemented the DiGi Mobile Download Platform as well as various WAP services for the company.

Prior to joining Netrove, she was in Golden Dynamic as Manager of Content and Services. She was instrumental in the set up of the regional offices for Golden Dynamics. Her role was mainly overseeing the entire operation of the region and she has successfully project managed various mobile content implementations with large local mobile operators in each jurisdiction, music labels companies and solution providers in the region.

Ms. Soo graduated from Universiti Kebangsaaan Malaysia with a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in International Business.

Ronald TEE
Consultant, Beijing

Mr. Tee has been working in China for more than 2 years managing the finances of multinational companies. Prior to his work in China, he was an audit senior with KPMG, Malaysia. His audit portfolio includes a wide range of industries such as trading, manufacturing, property development, plantation and livestock.

Mr. Tee is a Chartered Accountant registered in New Zealand (NZICA) and Malaysia (MIA). He graduated from The University of Otago, New Zealand with double degrees in Bachelor of Commerce major in Accounting and Bachelor of Science major in Information Science.
