Netrove is founded and managed by a group of senior professionals cum entrepreneurs who have extensive across the board skills acquired locally and through lengthy stints abroad in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United States, Vietnam and Australia.
Mr. Teh’s background spans the legal, corporate finance and advisory, venture capital and technology industries in Asia. Trained in London, then in Hong Kong, he has undertaken major engagements in M&A and corporate finance including deals such as the listing of companies in Hong Kong, Malaysia and London and cross-border M&As. In the last two decades, he has acquired extensive experience in investing, managing and operating technology start-ups and growth companies in Asia having successfully exited a number of them and taken executive positions in some of such companies. Prior to founding Netrove, he was a partner, director and COO at a regional investment firm based out of Hong Kong. In his earlier years, he was a senior associate and a member of the Corporate & Finance Group at Simmons & Simmons where he specialised in corporate finance, securities and commercial deals including international IPOs, M&As and public takeovers.
Currently, he sits on various boards of directors and advisors including that of Genetec Technology Berhad, a regional precision engineering group based out of Malaysia and listed on the stock exchange of Malaysia and CrowdPlus, a licensed equity crowdfunding platform. Mr. Teh holds an LL.B. (Hons) from Leeds University, England and an LL.M. (Hons) from Queens’ College, University of Cambridge, England. He is also a Founding Council Member of the Association of Hong Kong Independent Non-executive Directors.
Mr. Xu is a successful serial entrepreneur in China. Formerly, a co-founder of IGM Limited, he has over 10 years of operational, product design & management, and marketing experience in the IT and telecom industry in China.
Mr. Xu has in-depth understanding of the characteristics and dynamics of the Chinese IT and telecom sectors in terms of product strategy, development and marketing. Prior to IGM, he was a Business Development Manager at Guangzhou Tian Xia Technology Ltd. a company that was eventually acquired by a NASDAQ listed company.
Over the 6 years in Tianxia and IGM, Mr. Xu has accumulated significant business operations experience in the data-communication VAS and IT industry and developed working relationships with several leading mobile telecommunications companies in China.
Mr. Xu has extensive knowledge of the government regulations and requirements of the telecommunications and IT industry and has strong working relationships with various Chinese governmental departments. Mr. Xu graduated from Hunan Polytechnic University of China, majoring in Computer Applications Technology.
Mr. Foo was the Managing Partner of OTP Consulting, an Internet, IT and telecommunications consulting company. He has more than 20 years of technical experience inclusive of 12 years of consulting.
His prior postings were with well-known and leading edge technology companies such as NCR, AT&T and Bell Lab. Mr. Foo has international Internet and telecommunications exposure having spent stints in the USA, New Zealand, Australia, Korea as well as Malaysia.
Mr. Foo was a member of the AT&T/NCR Corporate Field Advisory Council and was a Practice Leader in various major consulting engagements worldwide and has been involved in developing and validating worldwide network and system planning, integration and management consultancy methodologies.
Mr. Foo graduated from Auckland University, New Zealand with an Electrical and Electronics Engineering degree. He further obtained an MIS degree from the same university. He is a member of IEEE, W3M Consortium and ATM Forum in the United States.
Ms. Lee’s experiences cover investment, corporate finance and advisory work in the Southeast Asia and China.
She has been actively involved in various corporate exercises such as restructuring, M&As and IPOs and was part of the team managing the successful IPO for Galasys PLC in 2014. She is also extensively involved in advising and managing early stage start-ups companies in Asia.
Prior to joining Netrove, she was a Senior Associate in OSK Investment Bank Berhad (now known as RHB Investment Bank Berhad) under its management training program. She holds a BSc Actuarial Mathematics and BSc (Hons) Economics from University of Michigan.
Mr. Lim is a CFA charterholder with over 8 years of investment experience in Australia and has worked on several venture capital and incubation projects in South East Asia.
Mr. Lim is passionate about helping entrepreneurs through sharing of his knowledge and guiding them to success. He has advised companies on operations, marketing and financial matters and also helped companies to negotiate and structure M&A deals.
Prior to joining Netrove, Mr. Lim worked as a Senior Investment Analyst in National Australian Bank and was part of the team that restructured the bank’s life insurance division for the merger with Nippon Life. He also helped to manage a boutique hedge fund and is proficient at valuing and analyzing companies.
Mr. Lim holds a BCom degree majoring in Finance and Actuarial Studies from the University of New South Wales and a MSc in Quantitative Finance from the University of Technology Sydney.
Mr. Loh has experience in M&A, corporate finance and advisory work across multiple industries in South East Asia.
He has been actively involved in advising and analyzing businesses in Asia, mainly for M&A purposes across a diverse range of industries. He also has extensive experience in the valuations of businesses. Prior to Netrove, he was an assistant manager in PwC, under the arms of Deals Advisory – Valuations. He holds a BBus, majoring in Finance and Econometrics, from Monash University in Melbourne.
