Mr. Teh, as Crowdplus.asia’s Chairman, was invited by Maybank IB – SME Corp to participate in a panel session titled “Crowdfunding – a source of funding for SMEs?”. This session was moderated by Mr Lok, Regional Head of Dealing – Equities, Maybank Investment Bank.

During the session, Mr. Teh shared that CrowdPlus.asia utilizes the proven methodologies of VC investing for startups in its deal vetting processes. In addition, CrowdPlus has created the unique ”QMI” feature on its platform – QMIs are successful entrepreneurs who have ‘been there and done that’ and have been recruited to become the mentors to the crowdfunded companies. Mr. Teh added “the CrowdPlus.asia platform plans to bring together both public sectors and private investors in building the startup ecosystem in ASEAN.”
