Kuala Lumpur: Fruiti King, Malaysia’s home-grown 100% real fruit icy dessert company launched its first flagship store at Sunway Pyramid today.

With this launch, Malaysians can now enjoy a selection of six premium fruit ice cream – Musang King, Durian, Cempedak, Mango, Soursop and Sweet Corn. Fruiti King ice cream is made purely of real fruits without added preservatives, colourings and flavourings.

Founder and Chief Evangelist Max Teh said, “Fruiti King’s ice cream embodies the authenticity and nutritional value of real fruits. Unlike any other ice creams you have tasted before, Fruiti King’s icy treats allow you to savour the true fruity profile with every bite you take. It is definitely a cooler and healthier option to your ordinary ice creams”.

Fruiti King ice cream he added is crafted using a special fruit preservation method that maintains the freshness and taste authenticity of the fresh fruit ingredients.

On the brand inspiration, Max, a self-professed globe-trotting foodie said that “nothing is quite as gratifying as icy desserts made of natural ingredients and real fruit pulps especially in hot tropical weather”.

He explained that idea of starting a premium real fruit ice cream brand came to mind in 2016 when he tasted an ‘ais krim potong’ made from a secret recipe from a small ice cream stall in Ipoh, Perak. The ice cream was so rich, it was unlike anything Max had ever tasted before. Max said, “it was almost like eating the real fruit itself but in a cool form”. Being a fruit and ice cream lover himself, this sparked the inspiration to create a globally recognised icy dessert brand that is uncompromising of natural fruity taste.

“Malaysia is a tropical country blessed with perfect climate and soil to bear some of the best fruits in the world and this is definitely Fruiti King’s hunting ground for the of best ingredients. If the western ice cream manufacturers can make strawberry ice creams so popular across the globe, I don’t see why a Malaysian brand cannot make Musang King, Durian and Cempedak ice creams, the next big thing,” Max said adding that the three exotic fruit varieties are the pillar products for Fruiti King and these exotic fruits are becoming increasingly popular internationally.

On Fruiti King’s expansion plan, Max said that the brand aims to open up to 30 retail points throughout Malaysia by the end of 2018 and is in discussion to expand regionally in countries such as Singapore, Hong Kong and China.
